About Our Home Simulators

Why Choose Birdie Box?

Proudly Canadian Made

At Birdie Box, we take immense pride in crafting our golf simulators right here in Alberta. From precision cuts to expert welding and stitching, almost every step of the manufacturing process is done locally with meticulous attention to detail.

By supporting local craftsmanship, we ensure you receive a product that’s not only high-quality but also rooted in Canadian expertise.

What does that mean for you? It means our designs aren’t cookie-cutter mass-produced products from overseas. Our designs are personalized and are very high quality. You won’t find 2 Birdie Box setups that look the same because every setup is made with the customer in mind!

Trusted Brand You Can Rely On

Have you noticed that pictures of our setups look a bit different than you’re used to seeing? Maybe the lighting is a bit unexpected, or you’ve noticed the projected image looks like… an actual projected image?

That’s because we showcase our real life setups. Unlike our competitors, we don’t use software renders to show off our products. So the images you’re seeing are true-to-life examples of what we create.

We’ve built our reputation on our turnaround time, personalized offerings, and expert consulting for your space. We focus on the needs of our customer, not upselling.

This expertise has allowed us to become official resellers and distributors of the brands shown.

Unique and Personalized options

Birdie Box offers solutions that you won’t find anywhere else. Options like:

  • Foldable Enclosures so you can have your sim and your space

  • Replaceable Impact Screen Strips so you can replace a smaller, cheaper portion of your screen every few years

  • Enclosure-Mounted Projectors that will actually fill your screen and wont rattle every time you hit the screen

  • Personalized Logo’s that can be included to really make your sim your own

On top of that, we support any Launch monitor our customers prefer, and have lots of options for projector resolution and locations.

Need more? We also offer commercial solutions, both Birdie Box or SimBooth.

If you have a unique requirement, we are happy to help meet it.

FAQs on home golf simulators

  • It depends!

But that answer is lame. So lets go through what you will need and what the price range could be:

    • An Enclosure, or some area to hit into

      • $2,900-$4,500 for enclosure fabrics and screen

      • $500+ for uncut pipe (if purchased from other vendors)

      • $200-$500 in Carrier fees and Duties (If purchased from other vendors)

    • A launch monitor

      • $800-$20,000 (yes, really!)

    • a Projector (or a TV!)

      • $650-$7,000

    • A hitting mat

      • $250-$5,000

    • Gaming Computer/Laptop

      • $800-$2,500

    • Shank Nets (optional)

      • $100-$300

    • Simulator Software

      • $120-$900, Typically a subscription

    • Other accessories (projector mounts, cables, etc)

      • $300-$600

As you can see, there is a very wide range. A typical simulator setup is going to cost you $10,000-$20,000. However, there are ways to bring the cost down, and we are glad to help you find those ways!

Enclosure-Type simulators are typically less expensive than Built-In types.

  • We sell our own lineup of enclosures, hitting mats, screens, Projectors and can do installations as well.

We also create and supply high-quality wall panels and simulator flooring if you prefer the higher-end look.

In addition to our lineup, we also feature SimBooth products as well. SimBooth is a very high-end manufacturer of golf simulator products based in Canada.

We are based in Edmonton, AB and typically sell to the surrounding area. Please let us know if you are interested in our products but are located elsewhere and we can set up options for shipping!

  • The proper projector is a very important aspect of your simulator (if you are going to be using a projector).

There are a number of important factors to consider such as Throw Ratio, Lumens & Aspect Ratio. All of these will need to match your space and your golf enclosure.

It is extremely important to understand what these are, or you can end up with a projector that is in your swing path or will cast your shadow on your screen.

Cheap Amazon projectors will never cover these bases. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, it’s best to just let us help!

If you’d like to save big but still use a projector, ask us about our used projector option!

  • Ask us about what we have in stock!

If we don’t have what you’re looking for, we have materials on hand to get started right away! Turnaround time is usually 2-3 weeks.

  • Great question — and one we hear often.

At Birdie Box, most of the cost of a golf simulator comes from the equipment and materials themselves — not labor. Unlike a typical contractor service, where you’re primarily paying for time and expertise, our simulators involve high-value components (launch monitors, screens, turf, enclosures, projectors, etc.) that must be purchased up front.

While installation is included for free as a value-added service, the physical components must be ordered, customized, and prepared specifically for your setup. That’s why full payment is required before we begin the build process — just like if you were purchasing these items individually from other suppliers.

Rest assured, you’re getting a fully tailored, high-quality setup backed by a company that values transparency and customer satisfaction. We're always here to walk you through the process if you have any questions!
